It’s too late and too many Laphroig to fully explain...but the Provincial government owns the distribution, and the warehouse...and sends a cheque to the negotiants.  It’s a fucked up system here in Canada.  But it’s reforming...slowly.

There is one takeaway who stays open until 5am, you can get pizza, kebab, fish & chips, Polish beer, a bottle of vodka, a packet of cigarettes, toilet rolls and paracetamol. Lol.

Seattle is a shit place for late night options like that, but much of the US caps alcohol sales of any sort between 2 - 6 am (NYC & Chicago areas go as late as 4 am, I think; Vegas must be unrestricted ) .

Here, it’s down to if the location has an alcohol licence (from the local authority) a nd what hours are on the licence.

As I say, it’s getting reformed slowly.  They can ship direct because it the products have already passed through the government’s distribution system...with its 117% markup.

Very similar, although there have been reforms on the ‘ point of sale’ side, including private stores and direct sales at the point of manufacture.
